Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew growing up in Mexico with a family that was passionate about music. The majority of her youth listening to classic music, boleros from the past, ranchero traditional or romantic music, as well older classical songs. Ana loves the opera and tango genres as well as every form of dramatic performances. She was taught by her mother to sing. However, she started more intense singing lessons through Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera singer and tenor. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. Her early professional career included performances with a variety of chamber ensembles and opera choruses and chamber groups in Guadalajara. After relocating to America in the year 2000, she joined the United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present place in the southern part of California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. As a musician and teacher Ana is a dedicated participant in various community-based projects due to her enthusiasm and passion for music. Ana has also been a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana appreciates the opportunity to share her love and passion of traditional Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to impart a desire, especially among younger generations in order to keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
