Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. At the age five she moved from London to Oxfordshire to attend the Dragon School. Emma was aspired to be a professional actress since she was six. She attended Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford which is an acting academy with part-time courses. From the age of 10, she took part and performed the main role in a number of Stagecoach School plays and productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) The movie adaptation to J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was first cast for very first time back in the year 1999. Agents for casting found Emma through her Oxford theatre instructor. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone and Ron Weasley told Emma after eight auditions that she had been chosen for these parts. She was cast alongside Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. Emma's debut film came with the release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2002). This film was 2001's highest earning film, smashing records on opening day and first weekend. The film received praise from reviewers, and so were the performances of its three young actors. The well-known British publication The Daily Telegraph called her performances admirable. Emma received five nominations for her exceptional performance. In the end, she received the Young Artist Award in Leading Young Actresses of the Film.
