MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His global success has seen him enter mainstream Latin music. In the year 2017, his 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. His debut album ADN was issued in 2017 by La Industria Inc., an Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. The album reached the top of the charts at number 8 in the Top Latin Albums charts. Vaina Loca, it was the Top Five hit of Ozuna's Top Five album in 2007 led him to join Ozuna. Mala Influencia was his collaborative effort with Noriel in 2020. In the following year, Dopamina came out as his sophomore album. In 2021 he produced the duet to TINI's smash song Maldita Foto. In 2023, he appeared on 2000, which included the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo was raised within a musical family, since both his mom and younger brother are musicians. He has said in interviews that music is a must. He learned how to play guitar, saxophone ukulele, and piano as an infant. At first, he wanted to become Veterinarian, however after his brother Julian was convinced to let him attend singing lessons from a Cuban musician, he rearranged his career plans.
